Your Home, Elevated. YOUR LIFE simplified.
Everything You Need to Know Before Your KRD Consultation.
A guide for Parkland, Coral Springs & Delray Beach homeowners ready to transform their space — without the stress of figuring it out alone.
You’ve Made a Smart Decision.
Deciding to invest in professional interior design is one of the most impactful choices you can make for your home — and your daily life. At Krissy Rey Design, our process is built around one goal: making your home work beautifully for the way you actually live.
This guide will help you prepare for your KRD Visioning Consultation so we can make the most of our time together and begin building your design roadmap from the very first meeting.
What to expect:
A focused, up to 90-minute in-home or virtual conversation
A clear picture of your style, priorities, and investment range
Honest, expert guidance on what’s possible — and what to prioritize first
A defined next step, so you leave knowing exactly what happens after
This is not a sales meeting. It's the beginning of a thoughtful, curated process designed around your home and your family.
Before We Meet: 4 Things to Do
A Little Preparation Goes a Long Way.
1. Gather Your Inspiration
Spend 15–20 minutes saving images that appeal to you — rooms, colors, textures, furniture, anything that makes you stop scrolling. Pinterest, Instagram, and Architectural Digest are great starting points. Don't overthink it. You don't need to love every element — just notice what you're drawn to.
Ask yourself:
Do I gravitate toward clean lines or layered warmth?
Do I prefer light, airy spaces or rich, moody ones?
What does “put-together but livable” look like to me?
2. Identify Your Priority Spaces
Most clients have more than one room they'd love to transform. That's completely normal. To make the most of your investment, it helps to know which space is most important to tackle first.
Common starting points for KRD clients:
The main living area — the room you see every day but never feel good about
The primary bedroom — your personal retreat, often the most neglected
The family room or playroom — the space that works hard but doesn’t look like it
3. Think Through Your Investment Range
Interior design is a meaningful investment — and the clearest way to set your project up for success is to have an honest sense of your range before we meet. You don't need an exact number. A general range helps us build a plan that's realistic and achievable.
KRD project tiers for reference:
| Smart Family Design | Signature Spaces | Signature Bespoke | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Investment | $30K – $75K | $75K – $150K | $150K – $300K |
| Ideal for | Focused refresh or single-room transformation | Whole-home or multi-room elevated design | Fully custom, turnkey design experience |
| Includes | Curated furniture, finishes & styling | Full design direction, sourcing & project management | Concierge-level service from concept to completion |
Not sure where you land? That’s exactly what the consultation is for.
4. Note What Isn’t Working
Beyond inspiration, it helps to articulate what frustrates you about your current space. Is it the layout? The furniture that doesn’t fit? The way light hits the room? The lack of storage? The more specific you can be, the faster we can identify the real problem — and solve it.
What Happens at Your Consultation
Here's Exactly What to Expect.
Your KRD Visioning Consultation is a structured, efficient conversation — not a vague 'walk through the house.' Here's how we use our time:
First 15 minutes — Your Life & Your Home
We start with you. How do you live in your home? How does your family use the spaces? What’s working, what isn’t, and what do you wish were different?
Next 20 minutes — Your Style & Vision
We review your inspiration images together and identify the throughline. Most clients are surprised how quickly a clear aesthetic direction emerges when someone trained to see it is in the room.
Next 15 minutes — The Scope & Investment Conversation
We discuss what’s possible within your range, which spaces to prioritize, and what a realistic timeline looks like. For South Florida families, we also discuss material choices specific to our climate — what holds up, what doesn’t, and why it matters.
Final 10 minutes — Your Next Step
You’ll leave with a clear recommendation on how to move forward and a defined project scope. No ambiguity. No pressure. Just a confident path forward.
A Note on KRD’s Approach
Exquisite, Not Precious.
At Krissy Rey Design, we believe your home should be beautiful and built for real life. That means design that holds up to kids, pets, Florida sun, and the daily rhythm of a busy household — without sacrificing the elevated aesthetic you've been envisioning.
Our work is rooted in three things:
Curated Coastal Sophistication
A design sensibility that’s relaxed, refined, and entirely South Florida — layered with texture, anchored by natural materials, and finished with intention.
Durable Luxury
We specify finishes, fabrics, and materials that perform. Stain-resistant upholstery. Scratch-resistant surfaces. Low-VOC finishes. Products that look exceptional and last.
Concierge-Level Service
From your first consultation to final styling, our process is seamless and turnkey. You make decisions you feel confident about. We handle everything else.
You’re Ready. Let’s Begin.
KRD is Currently Accepting New Consultations.
We limit our consultations to 8 per month to ensure every client receives the focused attention their project deserves. If you’re ready to move forward, we’d love to hold your spot.
